What is the Global Aquatic Resource Management Network?

GARMN, Inc. (G.A.R.M.N.) is a Florida not-for-profit corporation based in Miami. Can I deduct my contribution?

G.A.R.M.N. has not yet received IRS recognition and makes no representation about the deductibility of contributions. We are preparing our application for IRS recognition and will update this page if our status changes.

Where does my money go?

To our own programs as they launch — chiefly Magic Adventures, which will pay registration, transportation, gear, and mentors so veterans and students can take part in public on-water events, and Save Our Reef cleanups. We will report what was raised and where it went. Pledges and gifts are for G.A.R.M.N.'s own programs and are never passed through to another organization.

What is a Navigator?

A Navigator is our ambassador for one lane of the mission — reef and healthy water, students, veterans, healthy people, business and technology, or capital and philanthropy. Navigators will get a voice at events and our marketing behind them; personal fundraising pages are planned and not yet available.

What is an Anchor Sponsor?

A company or sponsor that helps anchor the launch: sponsoring a Magic Adventure or mentoring students through the Magic School Box. A planned option is matching pledges during the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show; matched amounts are collected once G.A.R.M.N.'s own payment account is live. Anchor Sponsors will be acknowledged at the launch. Sponsor recognition is acknowledgment only, never advertising; sponsors receive no goods or services of substantial value in return.

Are the organizations whose events you list your partners?

No. We plan to promote the public events of local conservation organizations and to help veterans and students take part. Organizations are named only to describe their public events; naming them does not imply partnership, endorsement, or affiliation, and we do not use their logos or marks without written permission.

What are G.A.R.M.N. Points?

G.A.R.M.N. Points is a planned loyalty program (Coming Soon). Points cannot be earned or redeemed today and have no cash value. When it launches, students will earn recognition through the programs and supporters will be told the terms first.

What happens after I submit the form?
